A new series “Be Well, Live Well” is offered free of charge to new retirees and active adults by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. The series promotes independence through healthy aging and is targeted towards adults nearing or in early retirement.

The lively and informative sessions will be delivered in a casual social atmosphere. Each session will include a self-assessment, information sharing, goal setting and a recipe demonstration. Upon completion of each session, participants will receive materials which extend that session’s goal.

“Be Well, Live Well” session titles are:

1.Be Independent: Eat

Well

2.Be Able: Read the Label

3.Be Safe: Eat Safe

4.Be Creative: Plan Meals

5.Be Fit: Move More

“Be Well, Live Well” will be offered at 11:00 am, each Wednesday, beginning October 2 at the Archer City Library.

For more information on this series or other educational events offered by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service contact your county extension agent, Maranda Revell at 940-574-4914.
