RE: COVID-19 Update

To the Citizens of Archer City:

At the time of this release, there have been NO residents in the City of Archer City test positive for COVID-19.

I am asking everyone to continue following Governor Abbott's order requiring people to stay at home except for essential activities. We are still receiving daily updates from the Texas Department of Emergency Management officials.

I encourage the community to continue shopping and eating at our local stores and restaurants within the guidelines that have been set. We must continue to support those that help keep our city going, especially during times like these.

Exercise and spending time outdoors is a great thing to do but please remember to do these activities with YOUR family.

As I have stated many times, the health and safety of the citizens of Archer City is my top priority. I want to state again that at this time the City of Archer City has 0 positive tests for Covid-19. We must continue to practice social distancing to keep this number where it is at today.

I hope that everyone had a Happy Easter and were able to watch the church of their choice last Sunday on the internet. Please remember the reason for this holiday, HE is risen. Together we will make it through these uncertain times and I truly believe that we will be stronger because of this.

Respectfully,

Kelvin Green Mayor
