They’re back!

The talented cast of Jim Black’s popular Barber Shop plays returns to the stage next month in The World According to Roy and Jesse. Last year, the group left the barber shop for the La Bella Vida Estates Retirement Home and that’s where you’ll find them this time around.

“This production will introduce two new characters,” says Black. “Roy’s long-lost brother Tom (portrayed by Wichita Falls’ Jim Hart) and Betty Jack’s cousin Ruth Ann Goggins (Portrayed by Archer City’s Becky Nogel). Becky teaches One-Act Play at Archer City High School and is a veteran of Royal Theater productions. This will be her first appearance in the Barber Shop series while Jim is making his theatrical debut. Having seen them in rehearsal, I can tell you each is going to bring something special to the play. I’m really excited.”

The World According to Roy and Jesse is being directed by Gary Beesinger and produced by Jerry Phillips and Jim Black. Tickets are $15 and all seating is General Admission. Once they go on sale, tickets will be available online at www.royaltheater.org , or by calling 940-574-2489. They can also be purchased at the door on the night of the show.

Play dates are October 3, 4, 5, 10, 12. (There is no show on Friday Oct. 11.)

Doors open at 6:30 pm and curtain is at 7:30. Mark your calendars!
