Dinner and movie at Royal Theater on August 17th

What could be better than an evening at the Royal Theater for Dinner and a Free Movie. Last year’s showing of “The Last Picture Show” was very memorable. Good food, good company, and good entertainment. “Texasville,” the sequel to “The Last Picture Show,” will be the free movie this year. It will be a chance to get a peek at some Archer City scenery and people while enjoying a great meal.

A limited number of tickets remain on sale for the 2nd Annual Dinner and a Free Movie. This year, the date is August 17th. “Texasville,” directed by Peter Bogdanovich and based on the novel by Larry McMurtry. “Texasville” is critically acclaimed as the best sequel no one ever saw. This movie rolls the characters of “The Last Picture Show” forward 30 years and gives a glimpse of their current life.

Just like last year, there will be a sit down meal and showing of the movie afterwards. The movie is rated “R” and the event is BYOB. Tickets are now on sale at the Royal Theater website www.royaltheater.org. Ticket sales will be discontinued on Wednesday August 14th to allow for a correct head count for the meal. Dinner is $30.00.

Go online and purchase your tickets now so you won't miss this event. The menu this year includes Cream Cheese Jalapeno Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breasts, vegetable, salad, dessert, water or tea.
