Skyler Hilbers, 38, formerly of Archer City, was indicted for theft of property greater than or equal to $300,000, a first-degree felony, on Wednesday, July 15.

Hilbers was arrested in Archer County on Dec. 10, 2019, for the charge and his bond was set at $25,000 which has since been met.

According to the indictment, on Oct. 1, 2018, Hilbers unlawfully appropriated cash, tires and/or store inventory in the value of $300,000 from T&W Tire in Wichita Falls without the consent of the owner and with the intent to deprive the owner of the property. Hilbers was listed as management of the shop according to the better business bureau. No other information was provided in the indictment.

Hilbers case will be held in the 30th district court in Wichita Falls. If found guilty, he can serve five to 99 years of confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and be fined no more than $10,000.
