Lemonade stand benefits Archer Service Center

L to R: Paislee Getts, Kinsler Wilson, Case Getts, Tinsley Wilson and Kenlee Getts ready for customers at their Lemonade Stand Friday, July 24, afternoon.

After Paislee, Kenlee, and Case Getts continually insisted on setting up a lemonade stand, Renea Getts said, “Mom finally gave in.”

Her final okay turned out to be a windfall for the Archer Service Center. In addition to raising over $350, which they gladly donated to the Service Center, they had a ball doing it.

Renea served as the supervisor but admitted, “They pretty much handled it.” The donations only stand was manned from about 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 24.

After opening, the Getts children were joined by Kinsley, age 8, and Tinsley, age 7, Wilson, the daughters of Jimmy and Shelby Wilson.

Sisters Paislee, age 9, and Kenlee, age 7, and son Case, age 5, are the children of Adam and Renea Getts.

Shirley Stults, a regular at the Service Center, tipped the Archer County News off on the special effort and generous gift provided by the children involved.
