Archer City Christmas Festival reports that the nutcracker above was purchased with community painted mural funds. He will be placed on the courthouse lawn with another like him, near the war memorial. There is also a good beginning of funds to purchase a LARGE Christmas tree for the courthouse lawn next year. It wil be on a frame with lights. The tree will be approximately 16-20 ft. and will be placed on the southwest section of courthouse lawn. Next year there will be the traditional tree lighting again.

Christmas-on-the-Square has a new name, Archer City Christmas Festival, and has a new Facebook page with that name. Check it out and keep up with what's happening with Christmas in Archer City.

Support for the mural project, purchasing t-shirts and blankets, and participating in Christmas-on-the-Square is greatly appreciated.

The Sheriff’s Department Work crew designed and cut out the “Peanuts” theme Christmas decoration (left) on the courthouse lawn and donated it to the decorations. It was all hand drawn and cut out and painted by them.
