The Holliday Cinderella’s Closet is hosting its 3rd Annual Prom Event February 2nd at the Family Life Center at the First Baptist Church in Holliday, Texas. Cinderella’s Closet started as a Girl Scout project for Emily Jenkins of Holliday. Gently used or new prom and formal dresses are accepted by donation at the facility and can be checked out (like library books) for formal events and then returned totally free of charge. The process is very simple and discreet.

In the beginning donations were accepted and stored in the church. As news of the concept caught on, space became an issue. Cinderella’s Closet moved to a small building across the street housing approximately 500 dresses. Their inventory continued to grow and has multiplied to over 1500 gowns thanks to great generosity of the community and surrounding areas. They are now located in the building just next to the original “closet” which was formerly used for the youth of First Baptist Church in Holliday.

The Prom Event is scheduled for February 2nd and will be open from 9 am to 5 pm in the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church in Holliday. All gowns will be on site for the event. If you need more information or need a dress, please call Sherry Jenkins at 918-520-8165 or go to Facebook and read “Our Cinderella Story” on the Cinderella’s Closet Holliday Facebook page.
