Two Archer County volunteer fire departments were involved in two Grand Jury indictments on June 5. In both cases the indictments alleged the unlawful appropriation and control over an amount of $2,500 or more but less than $30,000 by two separate individuals.

James Dewey Sons was named the defendant for misappropriation of funds from the Lakeside City Volunteer Fire Department. Sons had previously served as the Chief of the LCVFD.

Cindy Renee Booth was named the defendant for misappropriation of funds from the Bowman Community Volunteer Fire Department. The alleged Theft of Property greater than $2,500 but less than $30,000 charges are both Third Degree Felonies.
