Veterans honored at Windthorst assembly

Windthorst students honored veterans last Monday in an annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Local veterans from Scotland-Windthorst VFW Post 2676 were special honored guests at the event. Windthorst Junior High and High School Principal Roy Longcrier presided over a fitting tribute to veterans both living and deceased. Videos and slide shows highlighted the lives and careers of local veterans.

Students participated in a flag folding ceremony. The event concluded with the presentation of six white roses for the local veterans who died in action.
