Awtry Blagg to play football for MSU Texas

On February 5th, the MSU Texas football program signed Awtry Blagg as a tight end. Blagg will continue his football career as a Mustang competing in the NCAA Division II, Lone Star Conference. His signing ceremony was at Windthorst High School on February 5th.

Blagg has been a part of the Windthorst High School football program for the last 4 years. He finished his senior season as a Windthorst Trojan on offense catching 59 passes for 806 yards and 11 touchdowns. On defense, Blagg had 64 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, four sacks, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions. He also forced one fumble.

Blagg was named Honorable Mention Defensive Back his Freshman Year, All District Offense 2nd Team Wide Receiver his Sophomore year, All District 1st Team Wide Receiver his Junior Year. His Senior Year he was named Most Valuable Player of District 6-2A Division II.
