The Sheriff’s Office received 119 Calls for Service during the past seven day period ending Sunday, Sept. 20. On the day of this report there were 31 individuals incarcerated in the Archer County Jail consisting of 27 men and four women. Kellar named new County Auditor

Cristi Kellar was sworn in as the new Archer County Auditor by 97th District Court Judge Trish Coleman Byars on Wednesday, May 1. Kellar replaces outgoing county auditor Paul Wylie who retired from the position at the end of April.

HISD purchase s new phone/ PA systems

The Holliday ISD school board approved a bid for a new voice over IP phone system and PA system for all school buildings during their meeting on Monday, May 13. Superintendent Cody Carroll said the need for both systems stem from Alyssa’s law which requires phones in each classroom, so everyone has the ability to call 911 if needed.

County approves new phone system for sheriff's office

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved the purchase of a new telephone system for the sheriff's office during its meeting on Monday, May 13. Sheriff Jack Curd told the court that the current telephone system was moved over to the office when the new law enforcement was built 13 years ago.
