Marvin J. “Frosty” Hoff, Jr., age 72, of Windthorst, Texas passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, in United Regional Health Care.

Rosary and vigil service were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Moloney, Pastor of St. Mary’s and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating. Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Frosty was born Aug. 26, 1948 in Archer City to Marvin Joseph Hoff and Elsie Rose Berend Hoff. He graduated from Windthorst High School.

Frosty worked for Bell Helicopter in Mineral Wells, AMPI as a Truck Driver and also an oilfield pumper for Bridwell and Lindemann Drilling. He also worked for Ray Kennedy Security.

Frosty enjoyed watching football, fishing, shelling pecans for his friends and neighbors. He loved playing cards and dominoes with the Senior Citizens. He was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially outdoors. He visited his neighbors while driving his golf cart.

Frosty was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Debra of Windthorst; daughter, Stephanie Lynn Pickel of Windthorst; three sons, Brent Hoff and wife, Cindy of Windthorst, Tracey Hoff and wife, Natalie of Fairfax, Okla., and Sean Hoff and wife, Sarah of Windthorst; his parents, Marvin J. Hoff, Sr and Elsie Hoff of Windthorst; two sisters, Jennifer Lindemann and husband, Doug of Holliday, Paulette Schreiber and husband, Pat of McKinney; brother, Gary Hoff and wife, Kathy of Windthorst; and ten grandchildren, Jessie Meurer and husband, Jacob, Robyn, Coy, Brenae, Clay, Tyler, Emily, Brayden, Catherine and Meredith.
