Shirley Ann Reid

Shirley Ann Reid, longtime resident of Burnet County since 1964, passed on to the loving arms of Jesus on March 28.

Shirley was born Jan. 18, 1937, in Throckmorton, to Gaylord and Thelma Light. She grew up in north Texas and graduated Archer City High School in 1958.

Shirley had several longtime careers in Burnet at The Galloway Insurance Company and Hamilton Valley Management Co. She loved the outdoors and loved living on Lake Buchanan. She is described by friends and loved ones as loving, kind, caring and a good friend. She will be missed by many.

Shirley is survived by her daughters Sheriee Harrelson and husband Phil and daughter Sharon Macias, her grandsons Justin Harrelson and wife Meghan, Nathan Harrelson and wife Noemi and Jonathan Harrelson. She has two great granddaughters Thom and Maxine Harrelson whom she adored. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Light and wife Pam, and sisterin- law Janie Light. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Harvey Light.

Although she will be missed dearly, there is comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed to her eternal heavenly home with our Lord and Savior.

A celebration of life in Shirley’s honor will be held at a later date at Lake Buchan
