Willie Willeford, age 81, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Archer City, passed away Monday, Oct. 5, in Wichita Falls.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Mikey Pesqueda, Pastor of the First Baptist Church and Roger Deerinwater of Archer City officiating. Interment followed in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Willie was born Feb. 15, 1939 in Iowa Park, to the late L.D. Willeford and Loretta Stegall Willeford.

Willie was a 1958 graduate of Archer City High School. He then served his county in the United States Marines and was honorably discharged in 1962.

He married the love of his life, Patsy Deen on Nov. 1, 1958 in Archer City.

Willie was the owner and operator of Willie Willeford Dozer Service for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archer City where he was a Deacon. He also served on the Archer City ISD School Board.

Willie’s favorite pastime was mowing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Willeford of Wichita Falls; daughter, Lexa Willeford Blake of Wichita Falls; sister, Patsy Curbo of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Rondol Willeford of Wichita Falls and David Willeford and wife, Shirley of Trinity; two grandsons, Brice Blake of Wichita Falls and Brady Blake and wife, Tracey of Childress; and four great-grandsons, Bennett, Callan, Beckett and Tucker.

Willie was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Willeford in 1963.
