Frances White Ross, age 88, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 26, in the Archer City Cemetery with Roger Deerinwater of Archer City officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 7p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Frances was born July 29, 1935, in Henrietta, to the late Arlen White and Juanita Lorena Hanes White.

She graduated from Archer City High School. Frances worked at the Archer City Post Office, managed several apartment complexes in Burkburnett and Wichita Falls and also worked at United Market Street. Frances was loved by everyone who knew her and she loved them.

After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time at the Senior Zone in Wichita Falls with her friends. While there, she became quite the pool shark and dancer. Frances was an avid golfer and also loved going to the lake however, her greatest enjoyment was going to her great-grandchildren’s ballgames.

Survivors include son, Donal Ross Jr. and wife, Tracy of Archer City; daughter, Victoria Lear and husband, Terry of Archer County; brother, Dennis White and wife, Juanita of Lake Kickapoo; grandchildren, Jody Martin of Wichita Falls, Cody Martin and wife, Lauren of Archer City, Lacie Ashley and husband, Brandon of Windthorst, Celinda Couch and husband, Jeremy and Kelly Zentgraf and husband, David all of Wichita Falls; great-grandchildren, Delaney and Dylann Ashley of Windthorst, Nolan and Grant Martin of Archer City, Courtney Couch of Cedar Park, Texas, Cameron Couch of Elgin, Texas, Matthew Couch, Kellen Couch, Jubelee Zentgraf and Jenesis Zentgraf all of Wichita Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Wichita Falls for all the love and care that they gave Frances while she was there. Also, they would like to thank the staff at Advanced Rehab for their love and care for Frances.
