The Archer City council held discussions about the next steps necessary to address staffing and budget concerns for the Archer City Ambulance Service during its meeting Tuesday, June 21. Mayor Jake Truette had originally stated that he would like to see the old business agenda item to be placed back on the agenda come budget time.

It was another tremendous season on the baseball diamond for Archer County. Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst all won district championships and advanced several rounds deep in the postseason. These kids deserve all the recognition they can get for all their hard work.
The Holliday City Council discussed personnel openings and appointments during its city council meeting Monday, June 13. The council went into executive session to discuss openings for the chief of police and the utility billing clerk.
Holliday ISD Superintendent Cody Carroll provided an update on the district’s Guardian program during a school board meeting Monday, June 13, after the recent events in Uvalde. With the program in place, faculty at the school may be armed in order to prevent a school shooting.
