The Archer City Lady Cats overcame a slow start in a four-set win over Burkburnett (22-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-23) on Friday, Sept. 18, to close out their non-district slate with a 7-4 mark.
The fourth-ranked Windthorst Trojans built a 35-0 first half lead and coasted to victory in a 42-0 rout of Seymour on the road on Friday, Sept. 18. The Trojans remain unbeaten while the defense continues to be a stalwart, allowing four touchdowns through the first four games.
Junior Hannah Spears led the way for the Holliday Lady Eagles Cross Country team finishing the 3200-meter course in a winning time of 11:56.09. Her time in the state competition last November was 11:54.78.
