Body Volleyball season has begun in Archer County and this weekend saw all three teams participate in tournaments hosted in Abilene and Burkburnett on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 14-15.

Lady Eagles Open Season with Win Over Tolar

Body The Holliday Lady Eagles’ volleyball team kicked off their 2026 campaign with a win over Tolar on Monday, 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 26-24, 23-19.) Holliday’s upperclassmen shined in the victory with senior Emma Ellis leading the way for what looks to be another impressive season.

Early Games to Watch in the 2026 Season

Body Football season is quickly approaching Archer County. In just a few weeks, the coaches and players at Archer City, Windthorst, and Holliday high schools will begin Two-A-Days to prepare for the first game the year on Friday, August 28.

Colwell Slides Into Coaching Role at Holliday

Body For the first time in eight seasons, the Holliday Lady Eagles will be under the tutelage of a new head softball coach, former recruiting coordinator and kinesiology instructor at Texas A&M University-Texarkana Haley Colwell.
