He also averaged 9.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.6 steals per game. The senior scored at least 20 points in 31 games and posted 11 contests with at least 30 points. He picked up THSCA Super Elite Team MVP and will go down as one of the all-time greats for the Eagles.

The Archer City Lady Cats took home the district championship on Senior Night after a convincing 13-2 victory over the Windthorst Trojanettes on Friday, April 19. After a fourth-place finish in the in the year before and a district title in the 21-22 season, the young and hungry Lady Cats claim their second district championship in five years.

Both the Windthorst Trojans and Trojanettes are sending athletes to the state meet to represent the program after a successful UIL Region 2-2A Regional Track & Field meet at Porcupine Stadium in Springtown, Texas on Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22.

Holliday’s track resurgence continued on Mon., April 22, at the Region I-3A Championships held at Elmer Gray Stadium in Abilene as the Eagles posted their best finish since 2005, earning silver with 86 points.

Holliday head coach Glenn Griffin has built a track factory on the west Texas plains. Led by his runners’ dominance in distance events, the Lady Eagles’ leader churned out his third-straight Region I-3A championship at Elmer Gray Stadium on Mon., April 22.

Windthorst 17 Archer City 0 The Windthorst Trojan baseball team has been on a roll since the middle of March, embarking on an 11-game winning streak that started on March 19, capped off by a pair of shutout victories over the Archer City Wildcats on Tuesday, April 23 to secure their third district championship in four years. “I think we’ve consistently gotten better,” head coach Scott Belcher said about the team’s performance throughout the year.
