The Windthorst Trojanettes suffered a 3-0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-19) loss in its Region II-2A bi-district matchup with Chico on Thursday, Oct. 29, in Bowie. The young Trojanettes saw their season come to a close at 10-15.

Holliday (21-4) had no trouble putting away Eastland in its Region I-3A bi-district matchup. The Lady Eagles dominated from the outset in their 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-17) sweep of the Lady Mavericks.

Petrolia entered Friday night’s contest with Windthorst bursting with confidence. The Pirates had a veteran coaching staff and owned a surprising 6-1 record. All signs pointed to an offensive shootout for the District 7-2A crown.
