Trojans raising money for rings, monument

The state champion Windthorst Trojans football team is raising money for rings and a new monument commemorating the school’s third football title. According to head coach Chris Tackett, the main goal of the fundraiser is to pay for as much of the student’s ring as possible.

Cavazos named DCTF Assistant Coach of the Year

Windthorst defensive coordinator Juan Cavazos garnered the Dairy Max Built by Nature Assistant Coach of the Year announced last Friday by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. Not only was Cavazos the top assistant in Class 2A, he received this honor spanning all six UIL classifications.

Chris was the son of the late Chris Sr. and Claudia Ridinger Bachmann of Wichita Falls. Carolyn was the youngest child of the late John A.Sr. and Magdelena Morbitzer Kocks of Wichita Falls.
