Midwestern State University will host a ribbon cutting and open house for the Charlye O. Farris Social Justice Resource Center (Farris SJRC) from 3:30-5 p.m. Friday, October 29, at the center located in Bea Wood Hall near the Jesse W. Rogers Promenade. The center is a hub for education, advocacy, and training in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved an expenditure of $23,611 from the American Rescue Plan funds to the Archer County Rodeo Association for funds lost from not having the 2020 Archer County Rodeo due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Sheriff’s Office received 105 calls for service this week. As this report is being written there are 17 inmates with four being female in the Archer County Jail.
