The Sheriff’s Office received 112 calls for service this week. As this report is being written there are 37 inmates and nine being female in the Archer County Jail.

The Angel Tree will be at the Archer Public Library this Christmas season starting on Monday, November 22nd. The Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys to local children in need. Donors simply choose an Angel and shop for their Angel's Christmas wish list.

Several years ago, Hollywood released a movie “Love Story”. The movie was a real tearjerker and had a tagline which became very popular still to the day. The tagline was “Love Means Never Having to Say You Are Sorry”. This sentence may sound very romantic. However, it is completely absurd. If we want to find relief from guilt, and shame from things we have done, if we want a meaningful relationship with our spouses, families, friends, and colleagues, we all need to learn how to say that “I am sorry. Can you forgive me?” Saying “I am sorry” is not only important for fostering good relationships with family and friends, but also for fostering a deep spiritual life as well. When our words and actions bring harm and injury to others, it is important to acknowledge this to them and to ask for their forgiveness.
