Bennie Jo (Hilbers) (Hutson) Franke, 79, of Archer City, died Dec. 18, at the Olney Hamilton Hospital after mightily battling illnesses the past two years.
After a tremendous year on the gridiron for all three Archer County schools, these athletes deserve a little extra recognition. Every one of these athletes and their teammates deserve much more recognition and praise than I can give them.

Over fifty citizens of Archer City were called as a jury pool for the trial of Jason Lee Loftiss, who received a speeding ticket in Archer City earlier this year. The ticket was for traveling 52 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone.

Girls Archer City 58, Christ Academy 51 The Lady Cats entered the Christmas holiday on a high-note, downing Christ Academy 58-51 last Tuesday. Aspyn Huseman led the charge on offense with 16 points while Maddie Lopez chipped in 14 and Olivia Vogtsberger added 10.
