After nearly six months of road work, the realigned intersection of Hwy. 79 and FM 1954 is substantially complete after contractors removed the stop signs for Hwy.

The Windthorst ISD School Board approved a new compensation plan for the district following executive session in its board meeting Monday, April 11. The new compensation plan includes a 3% raise for all teachers and professional staff, a 3-5% raise for auxiliary staff, increasing stipends to the market rate, addition of new stipends for added programs and an end of the year stipend for all employees.
