Body It was another tremendous season on the baseball diamond for Archer County. Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst all won district championships and advanced several rounds deep in the postseason. These kids deserve all the recognition they can get for all their hard work.

Body The Archer Public Library’s Summer Reading Program 2022 is here! The library kicked off its reading contest on June 1st and is accepting entries through July 31st, for a chance to win a Kindle E-Reader loaded with free eBooks. 1 hour read = 1 entry into the contest.

Body The Sheriff’s Office received 152 calls for service this past week. As this report is being written there are 21 inmates and two being female in the Archer County Jail.

Body As it has done in the past, Archer City cast its spell over writers who came to the town June 9-12 to soak in the atmosphere and learn from other writers during the Archer City Writers Workshop 2022 session.
