Body The Sheriff’s Office received 150 calls for service this past week. As this report is being written there are 29 inmates and seven being female in the Archer County Jail.

Body It was a cool morning John Henninger Reagan was a controversial figure in Texas History. He had a long record, serving as a judge, U. S. Senator, Confederate cabinet member, and chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission.

Body Thank you to everyone who spread the word and donated to the Archer Public Library during Texoma Gives! Together we raised a total of $2,035! We are already busy planning the Summer Reading Program for 2023, and we hope to make it the best one yet.

Body Holliday freshman Noah Strohman collected his fourth win of the season this weekend, winning the Hoka/McNeil Invitational 2022 on Friday, Sept. 23, with a time of 15:19.80.

Body Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst all picked up key district wins this past week as the Lady Cats and Trojanettes both opened up league action.

Body Windthorst was pushed to the brink in its district opener against Haskell. Tanner Doyal’s pass breakup on fourth down in overtime allowed the Trojans to escape with a 26-20 win to improve to 2-2 on the year.
