To ensure that high-quality emergency medical services remain available to Archer City and Archer County, the City of Archer City has entered into a contract with American Medical Response (AMR). This new partnership becomes effective November 1, 2022, and will provide a full-time, fully staffed ambulance stationed at the Archer City ambulance bay.

Archer City’s one-year contract with American Medical Response for Emergency Medical Services began on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Archer City is set to be honored with a Literary Landmark for Author Larry McMurtry with a ceremony to be held at the Royal Theater at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. and a plaque to be placed outside the Archer Public Library.

The Archer City ISD school board approved the campus improvement plans during its school board meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Archer County has had 1,291 voters hit the polls just past the halfway point of early voting of Monday, Oct. 31.
