For the last three years, District 10-2A has swept District 9-2A in the first round. After three straight years of early exits, the Windthorst Trojanettes flipped the script for a 46-38 bi-district win over Anson on Mon., Feb. 13, in Breckenridge.

The Sheriff’s Office received 177 calls for service this week. As this report is being written there are 32 inmates and 4 being female in the Archer County Jail.

The Archer City ISD school board approved an amendment to the student code of conduct concerning drug contraband during its meeting on Monday, Jan. 30.
Three members of Windthorst FFA, Brody Frazier, Bri Hoff and Zoie Price, each caught a calf during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Calf Scramble Jan. 24, earning a $500 purchase certificate for a show heifer and the chance for up to $16,000 in scholarship awards.
Time is running out to a file an application for a a place on the ballot for local towns and school boards in the May 6 Uniform Election. All applications must be filed by Feb.
