There is a world about which many are unconscious or unaware, but it does exist, and it is more accurate than the world we see, hear, taste, or feel. It is the world of the spirit; we are spirits living inside human flesh. Most people think the genuine part of them is their body, and no matter how you build or dress it up, you are not foremost a 'body.' You have a body that is a temporary home. You have a body, and you live there. You also have a soul where most problems arise.

The Sheriff’s Office received 341 calls for service this past two weeks. As this report is being written there are 31 inmates and 2 being female in the Archer County Jail.

Making its first appearance at the state tournament, Holliday looked every bit the part of title contenders. The Lady Eagles shell-shocked Columbus early on and coasted to the finish in a 59-40 win in the state semifinals.

Thurs., March 2 City View 19, Archer City 3 Archer City (2-4) opened the Iowa Park tournament with a 19-3 setback to the Lady Mustangs. Addy Peters led the Lady Cats with a 1-for-2, two RBI performance at the dish.

Thurs., March 2 Holliday 11, Wichita Falls 6 Holliday (3-0) came from behind for an 11-6 win over WFHS, pushing across seven runs in the fifth and sixth inning to erase a 6-4 deficit. Michael Stewart went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish with a double and two RBI.

Bradley Theodore Wolf, age 39, of Windthorst passed away Friday afternoon in a Wichita Falls hospital. Rosary and Vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
