What do you do when everything you know to do just isn’t enough? Sometimes, our best plans fail, and what we were hoping for just doesn’t happen. The truth is, we all deal with disappointments sooner or later. There’s a man in the Bible who found himself in this type of season and he was desperately asking God for help. His question and Gods response is found in 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 “Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

The Sheriff’s Office received 140 calls for service this past week. As this report is being written there are 38 inmates and 3 being female in the Archer County Jail.

Leon C. Groves, age 96, of Archer City, passed away Aug. 13, 2023, in Olney. As his six-year-old great granddaughter Andie More, of Windthorst, aptly proclaimed after learning of her Pa’s passing, “It’s all right, Mom, this is not our home. Our home is with Jesus.”
