The Choice is Yours

Luke 17:5-10 (NASB) The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you. Which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down to eat’? But will he not say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink’? He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he? So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’” Oh, how often we want to instantly be praised and thanked for doing the things we have been instructed to do by our Master. And the world tells us that it should be this way, that immediate gratification is proper, if not best. But just maybe we are not seeing God’s love for us as it really is, especially when we feel that we are not getting from Him what we deserve.

Trojans survive road scare at Wheeler

Body
It certainly wasn’t pretty, but as the old adage goes ‘an ugly win is better than a pretty loss.’ Windthorst (2-1) needed a late fourth quarter score and defensive stand at the buzzer to fend off an upset-minded Wheeler (04) squad to win, 20-14. Trojans freshman quarterback Brock ‘Big Juicy’ Belcher put the Blue Crew on top for good with an 8 yd keeper around the left side at the 9:21 mark in the final quarter to lift Windthorst to the come-from-behind victory.
