Tuesday, March 19 Windthorst 11 Seymour 0 Sophomore Conner Schreiber tossed a sensational shutout against the Seymour Panthers on Tuesday, March 19, securing his and the Trojan’s first district win of the season. The lefty tossed a near perfect game, allowing just one hit, no runs, one walk, and nine strikeouts, also adding a hit and a run from the plate.

About a year ago, my wife and I went to upstate New York to visit some family. I had never been before but was excited to experience some of the places I’ve been told about. When we were making plans, we came up with multiple places that we could NOT miss. These were the things that she told me that I had to see for the trip to be a success. Archer City faced off against the Chico Lady Dragons in district action on Friday, March 22. The Lady Cats were eager to extend their district wins to three before the weekend, while the Lady Dragons aimed to steer back on course after a shutout loss just a week before.

Another state champion has etched their name into Windthorst history as powerlifter Wyatt Steinberger took home the gold medal in the division 4, 148-pound class powerlifting state meet in Abilene on Saturday, March 23.

Mary Jo Wolf Russe, age 91, of Scotland, Texas passed away, Monday, March 18, 2024, in Senior Care of Wichita Falls. Vigil Service and Rosary were held at 7 p.m.

Trojanette ace Kamdyn Neal was tossing a no-hitter shutout before she was relieved in Windthorst’s home win versus the Perrin- Whitt Lady Pirates on Tuesday, March 19. Neal and the Trojanettes built a commanding lead by the start of the fourth, which allowed her and other starters to get some rest while other young Windthorst players on the roster gained much-needed in-game field and bat work.
