WISD school board discusses compensation schedule

The Windthorst ISD school board discussed the staff pay schedule during its board meeting on Monday, April 8. Superintendent Jason Nolan said the pay schedule needs to be updated regularly or eventually the raises the district gives will go off of the pay scale.

City of Holliday to begin looking for city administrator

The Holliday City Council met on Monday, April 8 to discuss and announce the search for a City Administrator, a position that hasn’t been open in over 20 years. “You’ve gotta have the right person,” Mayor Allen Moore said about the City’s search for an administrator.

A City Wide Clean Up for the City of Archer City is scheduled for Monday, April 22 through Sunday, April 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily except for Sunday, April 28, when the hours will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

It was an impressive district showing for the Eagles and Lady Eagles at the District 7-3A Track and Field Meet on Weds., April 3, with Holliday sweeping both boys and girls championships for the first time since 2013. While the girls success has been well documented, a renewed interest in the boys track program has fueled the Eagles’ to their first district title in over a decade, outpacing Vernon by 40.
