Eddie Frank Morris (83) went to his eternal reward on June 2, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy, his brother, Bobby Morris, and his parents, Letha and Robert Lee Morris. He is survived by his children, Brenda Schlomach (Byron), Ron Morris (Jennifer) and Cathy Morris Rodriguez; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other close friends and family who will miss him.

There were a lot of ups and downs for the three high school baseball teams in the county, but they managed to come together and have another successful year on the baseball diamond. From Coaching changes to first-year coaches making their debuts, to perennial powerhouses playing fresh talent, Archer City, Holliday, and Windthorst all were able overcome adversity and find a bright spot in their seasons.
