The Archer County Commissioner’s Court voted to place the county in a burn ban until Oct. 12 during its meeting on Monday, Aug.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court voted to continue the split costs for the Archer City Ambulance Service with the City of Archer City during its meeting on Monday, Aug. 12 Former Archer City Mayor and Ambulance Liaison Jake Truette was on hand to provide an update to the commissioners.

The Sheriff’s Office received 351 calls for service these past two weeks. As this report is being written there are 24 inmates 4 being female in the Archer County Jail.
