Windthorst, Archer City compete in Wi ldcat Classic

The both the Girls’ and Boys’ varsity basketball teams for Archer City and Windthorst competed in the annual Wildcat Classic Tournament in Archer City from Thursday, Dec. 5 to Saturday, Dec. 7. Both the Trojans and the Wildcats finished with a 1-4 record, while the Lady Cats and the Trojanettes posted a tournament record of 2-2.

Holliday sweeps Windthorst at home

The 24-25 volleyball season featured a lot of young talent itching to make names for themselves, as well as stalwart upperclassmen looking to lay it on the line for one final year. The Archer City Lady Cats’ playoff streak continued, the Holliday Lady Eagles soared through their playoff competition for a Regional Finals round appearance, and the Windthorst Trojanettes overcame so many odds to battle to the State Semifinals round for the 25th time in school history.

Lady Eagles par ticipate in Nocona Tournament

The Holliday Eagles trekked to Nocona to take on opponents in the Tres Ninos Shootout on Thursday, Dec. 5 to Saturday Dec. 7. The Lady Eagles finished the tournament that featured a mix of Class 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A teams with a 1-4 record.

Eagles fall to stout Gunter defense

For the eighth time in seven years, the Holliday Eagles took on the #1 ranked Gunter Tigers to write another chapter in the two’s bitter rivalry on the gridiron on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the stunning Coach Kenny Deel Stadium in Melissa. This meeting marks the sixth time these squads have met in the playoffs, with the Tigers taking all six previous matchups.
