After a basketball season that featured a host of new faces take the court for Archer City, Holliday, and Windthorst, all three teams managed to still make the playoffs, with the Trojanettes even taking home a Bi-District round trophy.

Due to the inclement weather on Thursday, Feb. 20 and Friday, Feb. 21, the Archer County Classic softball tournament was cancelled, leading to the three Archer County teams to play various teams on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Monday, Feb. 24.

The Trojans ran into a basketball buzzsaw on Friday, Feb. 21 after they faced off with the #2 ranked Lipan Indians in Jacksboro for the Area round of the playoffs.

In Genesis 1:26 there was a monumental pause in the creating process. Up to this point, God had created everything in a noticeable rhythm. Then in verse 26, when God goes to create mankind we see a dialogue between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

It has been a rollercoaster season for head coach Kyle Tucker and his Holliday Eagles basketball team.

John Hash, 86 of Albany, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025. Funeral services wereheld at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 17 at First Baptist Church with Jody Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

“Come to me all who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28. Eddie worked hard his entire life and carried many burdens, but through his relationship with Jesus he is finally at peace and able to rest.
