Body With successful seasons from the three county high school teams in baseball and softball, All-State nominations are expected to follow. A total of eight county athletes received All-State recognition, three more than last season, showing off the amount of talent in Archer County.

Body The Archer City council approved purchasing a new emergency siren and encoders during its council meeting on Thursday, July 24. City Manager Ronnie Meyer said there was lightning strike on the siren on Oak Street behind the Evergreen apartments.
