Junior Livestock Show board discusses show changes

The Archer County Junior Livestock Show will debut a new show schedule for its 2026 edition with 8 of the 14 events having their showtimes adjusted. ACJLS board president Jason Austin said the board was going through complaints of last year and is hoping some of those complaints can be addressed with these new adjustments.

McNair sentenced to 160 years

An Archer County man was sentenced to 160 years in prison after being found guilty of multiple child sex crimes in August. The trial began on Tuesday, Aug 19, and after a week of trial the jury found McNair guilty on all six counts, five indecencies with a child with sexual contact and one aggravated sexual assault of a child.
