The council was presented the new public safety technology by Mark Osborn, retired police officer and current business manager for Coreforce, the potential provider for the new law enforcement equipment and technology.

The Scotland- Windthorst Veterans of Foreign War Post 2676 held its Memorial Day Service for fallen service members at the St. Boniface Catholic Church cemetery in Scotland and the St. Mary’s Grotto in Windthorst.

Windthorst’s Jaylee Belcher made the most of her state track debut on Friday, May 15, winning her first career state gold medal with a 2:19.61 in the 800-meter at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

In the Archer County Commissioner’s Court meeting Tuesday, May 26, it was announced that Archer County has received a Rural Ambulance Service Grant. County Judge Randy Jackson made the announcement of the $500,00 grant to the court.

After three years of trips to the UIL Track and Field State Championships, Atwood finally broke through her senior season on Thursday, May 14 to win her first of three state track gold medals, closing out a stellar high school career.
