The Sheriff’s Office received 231 calls for service this week. As this report is being written there are 24 inmates 7 being female in the Archer County Jail. On Wednesday, deputies were called to Hwy. 79 South of Archer City. WISD approves court renovations

The Windthorst ISD school board approved a donation from the parent teacher group to provide a facelift to the outdoor basketball/tennis court during its meeting on Monday, June 10. Parent Teacher Group Officer Hillary Wolf said the group had been working on this project for months and getting feedback from room parents on what the donation could be best used for.

Commissioners reject fuel and oil bids

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court rejected its fuel and oil bids during its meeting on Monday, June 10. The court had opened the bids for fuel and oil and received bids from Double S Fuel in Windthorst, Kelly Propane in Holliday.
