Cheryl Mathis Solomon age 64, went home to her Lord and Savior on Feb. 15.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City. Interment will follow in Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Cheryl was born July 7, 1956 in Archer City to Mildred and Harold Mathis.

Cheryl graduated from college at the University of Louisville, at Louisville, Ky., where she received a degree in education, and she received her Master's Degree in Special Education, from Midwestern University, Wichita Falls. Cheryl was a teacher and diagnostician for 41 years before she retired in May 2020 at McNeil Jr. High School.

Just one of the many hobbies Cheryl had was square dancing with the Wichita Falls Solos of Wichita Falls. This is where she met the man of her dreams, Max Solomon, who was with the Swinging Stars. Max and Cheryl were appointed offices with the State Square Dance Association, where they made many friends over the years. Max and Cheryl were married on January 9, 1999 and enjoyed each other for 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Harold Mathis.

She is survived by her husband, Max Solomon of Wichita Falls; stepson, Eric Solomon; granddaughter, Isabella Renay McKenzie of Wichita Falls; sister, Ange Walling and husband Craig of Wichita Falls. She has one surviving Aunt, Phyllis Whitsitt from Olney; nieces and nephews, Becky Brown and Ian Bradford of Vernon, Jennifer Hutson and Kelvin "Gino" Harrell of Archer City, , Chad Walling and wife, Amy of Washington, D.C., Brent Walling of Wichita Falls, Alisha Bowers and husband, Derrick Bowers of Wichita Falls; great-nieces and nephews, Kylie Schreiber and Caleb Litteken, Connor Brown, Kenadi Brown, Seth Barron and Brianna Barron, Brock Bowers and Brody Bowers, and Oliver Walling. She also has one great-great niece, Cambree Litteken.
