Jessie Largent Canada, age 91, of Archer City, passed away peacefully on Jan. 12, in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, in the Archer City Cemetery with Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church of Archer City, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family received friends from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

She was born July 3, 1931, to the late Bud and Beulah Largent of Lindsey, Oklahoma.

Jessie married Marvin Canada on Jan. 19, 1948 in Archer City. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2011. She lived in Archer County from 1948 until the time of her death.

Jessie was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.

Jessie worked for twenty-two years in nursing homes in Wichita Falls and Archer City until her retirement in 1981.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Canada and wife, Marsie of Plano, and Phillip Canada and wife, Tina of Archer City; one daughter Vicki Keel and husband, Mike of Marlow, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Stephanie, Amber, Lisa, Courtney, Shannon, Phillip Jr., and numerous great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, and her faithful companion, Molly May, her dog.

Jessie was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Simpson, grandson, David Tate, one sister and three brothers.

She will be dearly missed by many family members and friends.
