Contable Pct. 2 position to remain vacant
The Archer County Commissioner’s Court decided to leave the constable pct. 2 position open until the November 8 election after hearing its options for the position during its meeting Monday, June 27.
The constable position became vacant after Donald Stevens was ousted from office on June 8 due to not being issued a permanent peace officer license by Sept. 29, 2021.
