One hospitalized following law enforcement standoff in Holliday

A welfare check turned into an hourslong standoff in Holliday on Sunday, Aug. 24.

According to Archer County Sheriff Jack Curd, a deputy was dispatched for welfare check on an individual on Whitaker Street around 2 p.m.
