Single vehicle wreck causes fire, power outage in Archer City

A single vehicle wreck around 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, left the majority of Archer City without power and a pasture near the Sycamore and Chestnut ablaze.

According to Archer County Sheriff Jack Curd, 911 received a call Thursday evening that a vehicle had struck a power pole and started a fire with power lines down and still sparking.
