Ester L. Schenk
Ester L. Schenk, age 72, of Scotland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, in Wichita Falls.
Rosary and Vigil service were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland. Funeral Mass was celebrated immediately following with Rev. Michael Moloney, Pastor of St. Mary’s and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating.
Ester was born June 7, 1949 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Charles W. Cox and Mildred Store Cox.
She and Frank A. Schenk were married June 24, 1967 in Scotland.
Throughout her life, Ester was an LVN, the daughter and wife of military veterans, and the mother of seven additional military veterans representing all four branches of the armed services. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland. She enjoyed sewing and canning. She loved her family and was dedicated to them more than anything else.
Survivors include her husband, Frank A. Schenk of Scotland; one daughter, Lorena Schenk Seals and husband, Larry of Edinburg, Penn.; nine sons, Roch Schenk and wife, Allison of Scotland, Henry Schenk and wife, Mary of San Antonio, Abraham Schenk and wife, Shannon of Edmond, Okla., Joshua Schenk and wife, Rebecca of Walker, La., Isaac Schenk and wife, Stephanie of Scotland, Zachariah Schenk and wife, Elizabeth of Queensbury, NY, Anthony Schenk, John Luke Schenk and Ian Schenk, all of Scotland; twenty-two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
