2020 Census shows decrease in Archer County population

Archer County’s population is decreasing according to the results of the 2020 U.S. Census results that were recently released.

The county had a decrease in population from April 2010 to April 2020 of 5.6%, or 494 citizens, from 9,054 to 8,560.

Of the county’s population, 21.5% is under the age or 18 and 19.6% is over the age of 65. The county is 51.1% female and 48.9% male.
