Commissioners approve Senate Bill 22 spending

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved the sheriff’s proposed budget for senate bill 22 funds during its meeting on Monday, Feb. 26.

Senate Bill 22 will provide $250,000 for the sheriff’s office to help increase the salary of the sheriff to a minimum of $75,000, deputies to $45,000 and jailers to $40,000 as well as the purchasing of safety equipment.
